    Our chapter<\/p>\n\n\n

    An ethical forum, run entirely by volunteers.<\/h1>\n\n\n

    AFCEA North Carolina exists so that the people who defend the nation and the people\n who build its technology can talk to each other honestly \u2014 before a\n requirement is written, not after.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n

    Mission<\/p>\n\n\n

    What we do<\/h2>\n\n\n

    AFCEA North Carolina is a non-profit chapter of AFCEA International, the\n professional association connecting people, ideas, and solutions across the\n defense, homeland security, intelligence, and information technology communities.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Our chapter serves a membership concentrated around Fort Bragg \u2014 home to the\n Airborne and Special Operations communities \u2014 and extending across the\n Sandhills, the Triangle research corridor, and the coastal installations. That\n geography gives the chapter an unusual mix in the room: operators, program\n managers, contracting officers, university researchers, and small business owners\n all at the same table.<\/p>\n\n\n

    A trusted table<\/h3>\n\n\n

    Everything the chapter runs is built on a simple rule: this is a forum, not a\n sales floor. Government speakers can describe real problems without being pitched.\n Industry can ask clarifying questions without a protest risk. Academia can find the\n research problems that actually matter to the mission. That neutrality is the\n chapter\u2019s most valuable asset, and the board protects it deliberately.<\/p>\n\n\n

    How we operate<\/h3>\n\n\n

    The chapter is manned by an all-volunteer staff. No one draws a salary. Luncheon\n fees, sponsorships, and donations cover event costs, and the surplus goes straight\n into the education mission \u2014 more than $95,000<\/strong> to STEM\n grants, scholarships, and ROTC programs in 2025 alone.<\/p>\n\n\n
